Join us as we celebrate the launch of our new brand, Great Minds, and welcome new board members!
They say great minds think alike. We want to keep it that way. We’re a group of individuals who share a common goal: no more brain cancer!
Enjoy light fare and a short talk by Dr. Nandini Acharya, a world-renowned brain cancer researcher from The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center – Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC – James
).
All are welcome at this event - cancer survivors, patients, caretakers, donors, researchers, doctors, and anyone who supports the goal of living in a world without brain cancer.
Great Minds, formally known as Roll and Roll Over Brain Cancer, was created in 2011 by brain cancer survivor Mary Kay Fenlon, to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of her brain tumor surgery and cancer diagnosis. All current board members are brain cancer survivors. Rock and Roll Over Brain Cancer slowly became an organization focused on a lot more than just music! It was time for a rebrand - focusing on a broader range of events, our growing community. Great Minds now organizes and hosts 3-4 fundraising events each year, and as of 2021, has raised over $200,000 for brain cancer research and patient care.
